Hello Friends and Fans,

John here...

This is truly a wonderful newsletter for me to write. Pat is home from the hospital and doing very well. We are trying to get back to normal around here! As normal as possible, that is. I want to get this Spring edition of Pat’s Newsletter to you, because we have some great new products and some exciting new fabric collections coming out this spring! I know that Pat would want you all to know about them.

I will stick to the usual format for the newsletter, but some sections will be a bit different, due the Pat’s illness.

Where we have been lately:

Well this is an interesting section this time. As most of you already know, Pat suffered a brain aneurysm on January first. Some way to start the new year, huh? So we spent the first two months of this year in the hospital! For any who didn’t know about this, you can read my daily postings about the ordeal on Pat’s web site, www.patcampbell.com -- see "Pat's Recovery" box on the Home page. Forty-five days in ICU is pretty rough on a gal, so she is recuperating here at home now. We have a long year of therapy ahead, as well as another brain surgery in the next six weeks or so.

Where are we going for the rest of the year?

In view of Pat’s health and probable recovery time, we have canceled all of her commitments for this year. The Doctors tell us that Pat will make a full recovery, and we plan to be back out teaching next year we hope, to make up many of the classes we had to cancel this year. Our goal is to attend the Houston Quilt Show this fall. Pat will have new fabric collections showing at market, and seeing you all during the show will be great for her.

New Products

World-Class Scissors
Pat is always on the lookout for the perfect pair of scissors, and when we were in Germany this summer we found them. They are surgical quality stainless steel with a special padding on the finger holes for all-day comfort when cutting. Of course we had the padding done in a “Pat Campbell” color and even have her signature on the blade of the 4-inch scissors. There are two sizes -- 4” and 3” inches. We think these scissors are the best on the market, and we have a special deal for you on the set of two.  Look at the picture on the website, and see if you don’t agree

Great New Fabrics
Pat’s newest fabric collection from Timeless Treasures is out now. To check out the new “Victoriana” collection  at www.ttfabrics.com -- or use the Timeless Treasures' link on our website home page, and their website will direct you to a retailer near you that carries the collection. On their site, choose Search button at the bottom, click on "Designer: Pat Campbell" or "Collection: Victoriana" to see the wonderful new fabrics -- click on any fabric to see an enlarged view!  Pat will have another new collection coming out before fall too...Watch for it. It’s a knockout!

We are continuing to offer
Pat‘s “Not So Solid” Collection Bundles.
Each Bundle contains a fat quarter of each of the 35 wonderful colors of Pat’s new “Not So Solid” collection from Timeless Treasures. These are great for backgrounds, shading pieces, and adding depth and movement to your projects. There are 35 perfect colors to enrich your special quilts.

Also take a look at Pat’s thread caddy, loaded with YLI silk thread. This special offer gives you $140 worth of YLI silk thread in Pat’s signature colors pluss her $35 Thread caddy for only $120. Match your thread to your fabric for that “painted on” look in your quilts.

Please visit Pat’s web site and look these and other items.
I will be posting continued news of Pat’s recovery on this site (Click the "News of Pat's Recovery" box on the Home Page). Let me take this opportunity to say THANKS to each and every person who sent a "Healing Heart" to Pat for the wonderful heart quilt. There were so many hearts, that BOTH SIDES (see pictures) of the quilt were filled with your love, thoughts, and prayers! And a very Special Thanks goes to Sandra Wucher for putting them all together and doing the quilting! Pat enjoys the quilt each and every day, remembering all your kindnesses. It was so “heart warming” to receive it when we arrived home from the extended hospital stay.

Thanks for your continued love and support.

 John
